Louis tested for us the Flow from home Sol Kendama.
Hi everybody,
The Flow range offers kendamas made of unexpected woods, especially mahogany, this is the one I tested, the Mahogany Halfsplit Walnut.
The Flow has a unique ken shape. It is slightly larger than a classic kendama, allowing for interesting playability. Its cups are quite large but shallow, allowing for a sympathetic lunar balance!
During my first tricks with it, I felt a rather cool light clear on the tama, which left a little after 2 days. Becoming a little slippery thereafter, so more complicated for lunars. But if you get in the sun and sweat a bit, I swear it looks crazy. The tama becomes “rubber” as it should be and there it is the lunar bangers guaranteed!
For those who begin on the tap, I strongly recommend it because the mahogany absorbs well the blows (the speed of rotation is slow after a tap).
So you can hit hard enough without the kd going peanut, which often happens in our first taps ...For the rest of the tricks, it is complete (birds, juggle…), durable and solid. Good tracking thanks to the halfsplit (contrast of the two woods making it easier to follow the hole).
Now it's up to you to judge!
Tchu tchu!
