With Legaxis Japan, Gloken offers us an elegant rendering Kendama with a renewed playability, while remaining in the Japanese spirit of kendama. Indeed the shape was designed for the tricks of the new generation (juggle, lunar, etc.) while maintaining a standard size. In addition I have personally found that the sharp edges of ken are very effective for balance tricks such as stalls (bird, stilt,…). Finally, the overall finesse of the shape, greatly facilitates multiple rotations.
Work has also been done on the painting of the tama which brings real help on the tama grip tricks. In addition to being an aesthetic asset, the Half-split combined with the red hole (reminiscent of the Japanese flag) provides a certain ease for tracking during juggles. However, the presence of paint inside the hole gives a strange sensation on the birds which will require some adaptation time.
In conclusion, I really liked this kendama, also because it stands out from the others by offering different sensations.
